The mission of the Afton Area Business Association (AABA) is to promote business and tourism in Afton and its surrounding areas. The association started over 40 year ago as an organization for downtown businesses to network and promote their products and services. The Afton Area Business Association recently expanded to the St. Croix Valley area and near by cities.
Over 50 business members make up the AABA. Businesses range from restaurants and hotels, to vintage shops and salons, to nurseries and orchards, to golf courses and marinas. Members consist of small, mom-and-pop businesses and companies that employ hundreds of people. The AABA prides itself on its unique and diverse membership.
Aside from promoting the area, the AABA hosts events each year including the popular Afton Strawberry Festival & Marketplace, Afton Art in the Park, and the Afton Village Holiday and Ultimate Girls Night Outs.
