Squire House Gardens Presents: Public Urban Gardens

What draws millions of tourists a year to the enchanting environments of High Line Park in New York City and Lurie Gardens in Chicago?  How do gardens in dense, urban settings thrive and what is their appeal? Martin will discuss what backyard gardeners can learn from the best practices and features of public urban gardens and share examples from his visits to these magical places. This free event is open to the public and includes complimentary tea!

Squire House Gardens is located at 3390 St. Croix Trail South in an 1870 historic home in the heart of the village of Afton, MN. To visit, go 20 miles east of the Twin Cities on I-94 to Exit 258 and go south 4.7 miles. Winter Gift Shop Hours are Thursday to Saturday 11 to 5, and Sundays 12 to 5.
